Hello. A few years ago I accidentally rescued a goat. Of course goats need friends, so the herd grew, mostly of other people’s retired goats or cast offs. It became clear that I needed to protect from from intense coyote pressure, so I got a Maremma sheepdog, then a second, and now a third.
My first Maremma was an adult from a breeder who was retiring. I discovered Cindy’s site soon afterward and realized I needed a second dog. Luckily Cindy was having a litter and one of those pups joined my adult, followed by another. This happy trio guard my small property and my goats. Life is so much better with them here.
I also got hooked on training these amazing animals. I was somewhat familiar with positive reinforcement training, but have continued my education and am lucky enough to ”work” with Cindy. Okay, she let’s me come play with dogs. I’m pretty lucky! I’m also a horse nut, and own three that I train in dressage..
